Cloudy Day Art #73 - Poetry and Promos
February 10, 2007
Welcome back everybody.
This week’s show has a little different feel than my previous poetry podcasts. I think it is because the three poems I share have little to no sounds besides the poets voice.
No music.
I think I like the rawness of that.
Poets featured:
- Gordon Buss with “From a Desert Island” (Gordon thanks “Dan at Compact Sound’s railway cuttings studio, Cholsey, for the help”)
- Thom Ingram with “Is the Poet Hiding?“
- Robert Bruce with “Sex, Money, Death and the Thoroughly Modern Man“

Slam Idol Contest #16 - Vote Now!
Outro Song:
Cakefolder - “A Song That Can’t Be Written”

Great show. Superb readings and recordings, especially Thom’s accusation that poets are hiding. That’s very interesting. Thanks for playing my promo. That’s very much appreciated.
Thanks, Ian and thank you for getting your promo out. It was very well put together.
Yeah, Thom’s poem was very motivating for me, so I’m sure it was the same way for many others.
Hey Will, loved the show. I cannot wait for your video. I know how video can be time consuming to do but it is fun and can be addicting. And yes, Thom’s poem did touch me. It is a good poem that breaks through the heart and blood of flesh and straight to the soul.
Glad that you liked it, Bob. I couldn’t agree with you more about Thom’s poem. It had to come from the heart if he freestyled it off of the top of his head.
The video is coming along. I just need to move a few things around and cut some parts out. I’m definitley learning a lot.
