Video Poetry

Lately I’ve been thinking about doing a periodic (monthly?) poetry video. Something artistic.
Here’s a great example I found on Google Video:

The Poetry of the Suicide of a Poem

The first one I ever saw was on the The-Hold poetry podcast. It went to the back of my mind for a little while then Larry Winfield mentioned his work with video poetry in our interview a few weeks ago. You can hear my curiosity peaked when I ask him about it.

So, I put it to the back of my head again. Then, last week, the video iPod debuts, and I realize that this must be something I need to experiment with. The above example is the direction I’m headed, but I’m thinking about giving it a short film feel. Hmmm…interesting indeed. I’ll keep you updated.
Let me know if you know of anyone else who is doing this. I’d love to check them out.

  1. It sounds exciting. I love the idea too but I’m still struggling with the basics of podcasting. I’m learning something new everyday though. There is hope.

  2. Yes, I definitely learn something new everyday, too. I’m looking forward to your show debut, Belinda.
