I was blown away with "Red Ball Bouncing." It was musical and meaningful and had a natural feel to it. I would have been proud to have written it and would be happy to publish it at www.gypsymag.com if you would care to send it over. I was also happy to hear Larry Winfield. That was also a great piece of work. I also just started listening to his shows.

I can tell by your inspirational statements that the reason you're doing the podcast is the reason I like to listen and even participate. Sharing is #1 but also the celebration of the creative act (or creation). I've heard it likened to a spiritual experience and when I think about it I can see that.

Note to listeners:
I encourage listeners to stop and take a minute and let their podcasters know what they enjoy and why. At this point in time there is no money to be gained for these wonderful efforts that we freely download but some feedback and appreciation would sure be great. Otherwise there might be days when they feel they're whistling in the wind.

Keep creating,
Belinda

Dear Simon

Richard Vobes gave me your website details and suggested I submit some poetry to you.
Please tell me where I can send my CD for your consideration?

My work is called "The Mulberry Collection" and I am currently having a book of poetry published in China and it is being presented at the Beijing Book Fair from 11th September.

Patricia Irvine - Thanks

Larry,
Thanks for subscribing.
I'm always glad to share the word about other poetry podcasts that I come across. I actually found out about your site while checking my referral links in my website stats. I saw that you linked to my site and had to give you a listen!

Also, Belinda (see above post) has a link to you on her web page, too. It is a beautiful thing to see the support among poets on the web. Very little pride. I'm in the concept stage of my website redesign and I will have a links section that will have both of you and others well displayed.

Thanks for the comments.

Greetings!

What a wonderful surprise to get such a great plug in your last show. And your podcast was one of the first I subscribed to. Cool...

About editing: yes, a poem that seems to be done can be rewritten (look at how many times Whitman reworked the poems in successive editions of his opus "Leaves of Grass"), and it's "done" when you say it's done, or, sometimes, when the poem tells you it's done...

And yes, for me the act of creation is very much a spiritual experience that must be shared lest it become dried out and dissipated.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your comments, Belinda. I'll definitley send you a copy for GypsyMag.com .

I just recently came into the realization of the "creation" concept while reading the book "Walking on Water" by Madeline L'Engle. The book is mainly about the tie between faith and art, but she made the point about art being creation and that really stuck with me.

Being a podcaster is definitely, at times, a lonely experience. You see the stats of people downloading your shows, but you don't get much feedback. So, I appreciate every single email I get and comment on the shows or message board. Thank you.

I'll contact you soon to setup the interviews we talked about.
